Integrate Hitachi Content Platform with IDrive® e2
Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) is a scalable storage solution that supports multi-tiering, multi-tenancy, and multi-cloud setups. It provides a secure and flexible platform for data governance, content management, archiving, and compliance. Use HCP with IDrive® e2 for efficient object data tiering.
Prerequisites:
Before uploading files using Hitachi Content Platform, you require:
- An active IDrive® e2 account. Sign up here if you do not have one.
- A bucket in IDrive® e2. See how to create a bucket.
- A valid Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. Learn how to create an access key.
- A valid Hitachi Content Platform account.
Configure Hitachi Content Platform with IDrive® e2
- Login to the HCP portal with a valid credential.
- Navigate to Home > Create Bucket.
- In the Create Bucket screen,
- Enter a name for the Bucket.
- Select Sync-to Replication as a bucket policy.
- In the Policy screen, click Add Rule to add a new rule to the bucket.
- In the Remote bucket configuration, enter the IDrive® e2 Credentials,
- Select Generic S3 as the S3 type.
- Enter the IDrive® e2 region as Region.
- Enter the IDrive® e2 cloud object storage end-point as S3 hostname.
- Enter the IDrive® e2 bucket name as Bucket.
- Enter the IDrive® e2 Access Key as the Access Key.
- Enter the IDrive® e2 Secret Access Key as the Secret Key.
- Keep Port 443 and click Done.
- Click Create to complete the bucket creation process.
Note: After successfully creating the bucket, you can upload any type of data that will sync with the bucket in IDrive® e2.
